Ring the Bell: New Schools Mark a Busy End to Summer for White Light Visual
Today's public and private schools are nothing like the buildings of the past. Technology driven, interconnected and interdisciplinary, new designs in education architecture are visually stunning and the fuel for inspiration drives better and brighter executions. This is good news for Super Graphics because as the finishing touches on a school project that will touch many audiences for years to come, it's fertile ground for creativity.
Working with HMFH Architects (Cambridge, MA) White Light Visual was asked to engage on the project to help engineer, produce and install the environmental graphics package throughout Dover New Hampshire's new Traditional and Vocational High School as well as the new Elementary School in Carver, Massachusetts.
Dover High School is a brand new $88M high school that serves as a regional traditional - as well as vocational - high school in Dover, NH and it's the talk of southern New Hampshire This magnificent building opened to students and faculty in September 2018.
PC Construction (Burlington, VT) contracted White Light to put the finishing touches on the school in late August consisting of expansive wall murals using Dreamscape Bali Hai wall coverings and optically clear film graphics on several glass walls including designs at the Automotive Technology, Building Technology and Biomedical Research suites. The designs showcases various vocations in bright, contrasting colors ranging from Culinary Arts to ROTC, Electrical Technology, Cosmetology, Computer Networking, Computer Programming, Business Management and Engineering.
The Carver Elementary School also opened in September 2018 and represents one of the most forward-thinking, architecturally-beautiful schools of its kind. The building is a 2-story 112,350 SF marvel immediately adjacent the existing school is extraordinaril energy efficient and also Northeast CHPS verified.
The Town of Carver, MA contracted White Light to put the finishing touches on the school in late August consisting of expansive wall murals using Dreamscape Bali Hai wall coverings, color coordinated cut vinyl lettering color matched to Sherwin Williams color palettes throughout the school as well as custom, etched stainless steel plaques designed to call out key elements of the Town's heritage in the deeply historic Cape Cod neighboring community, rich in cranberry bogs and Native American culture.
