Merck is a premier, research-intensive biopharmaceutical company with offices and facilities throughout the world. When Merck set to refresh the look of their Boston headquarters, they came to White Light for the creation of a wide range of materials and dimensional elements, including 10' tall polycarbonate prints on a Lexan installed into the vertical bays of structural stanchions that flank the contemporary building.
In the expansive lobby space surrounded by many of the finest hospitals in the world, and just a stone's throw from historic Fenway Park, White Light produced and 'wrapped" 150" floor-to-ceiling cylinders with circumference graphics that showcased many of Merck's research and philanthropic programs. The wraps were completed using 3M ScotchCal® films and a delicate installation to seamless band the cylinders. At the far end of the lobby is a state-of-the-art coffee bar where Merck researchers and employees are encouraged to sit together, discuss their work and ideas or just recharge with their colleagues. White Light used a combination of dimensional lettering, cut vinyl and vinyl panels to enhance the vibrant space.
